SÃO LUÍS – A cidade de São Luís receberá um presente especial nessa segunda-feira, 16. Em sua celebração de Natal, a Universidade Federal do Maranhão, por meio da Diretoria de Assuntos Culturais da Pró-Reitoria de Extensão e Cultura (DAC-Proec), realizará a Cantata Natalina 2019, às 19h, na escadaria da Biblioteca Pública Benedito Leite, no Complexo Deodoro, Centro. Durante a programação, haverá um concerto com o Coral Universidade Federal do Maranhão e oito grupos convidados.
São eles: Coral São João, Madrigal Santa Cecília, Coral Maranatha, Coral Arte Canto, Coral Nossa Voz, Coral Vozes do Ministério Público da PGJ/MA, Camerata da UFMA e a Orquestra de Cordas da UFMA. O evento tem apoio da Prefeitura de São Luís e Fundação Sousândrade. Com o tema “Celebrar com Música é Divino!”, a Cantata Natalina da UFMA é um espetáculo ao ar livre do canto coral e da nova música instrumental maranhense. Serão disponibilizadas cadeiras ao público.
A expectativa da organização do evento é que a Cantata Natalina emocione o público com um espetáculo do canto coral, grupos instrumentais e repertório temático, formado por composições natalinas tradicionais que levam a mensagem de natal aos corações dos presentes. Será a primeira vez que a Cantata Natalina ocorrerá no Complexo Deodoro, novo cartão-postal de São Luís.
A Secretaria de Estado de Administração Penitenciária (Seap) registrou na sexta-feira (13) a fuga do interno Rony Kassio Chaves de Araújo, de 29 anos, que estava preso na Unidade Prisional de Ressocialização São Luís 5 (UPSL5), em Pedrinhas.
Segundo a polícia, Rony era membro de uma facção criminosa e estava preso por homicídio desde dezembro de 2017 (entenda no final da reportagem). Na prisão, Rony era um dos internos responsável pela limpeza e manutenção da unidade, e teria fugido após deixar o lixo na área externa do estabelecimento prisional.
No entanto, ainda segundo a Seap, as reais circunstâncias da fuga estão sendo apuradas pela Corregedoria do órgão e Rony está sendo procurado.

Segundo o inquérito policial, no dia 24 de outubro de 2016, no bairro Santa Efigênia, Rony e outras cinco pessoas mataram um homem chamado Geovane Barros Moreno. Eles invadiram a casa da vítima e efetuaram 12 disparos de arma de fogo.
Ainda segundo as investigações, todos os envolvidos faziam parte da facção criminosa, sendo que Geovane estaria namorando a ex-namorada de Rony Kassio e, por isso, teria sido assassinato.
A denúncia aponta ainda que, após o homicídio, a namorada de Geovane foi presa e torturada para que confessasse que traía Rony. Toda a tortura teria sido fotografada e enviada para Rony, que ordenava aos comparsas que batessem nela.

O PCdoB do Maranhão anunciou, na sexta-feira (13), a criação de um coletivo de evangélicos que atuará na direção partidária coordenando a participação do segmento religioso.
Com previsão para ser composto e oficialmente instituído em janeiro do próximo ano, “o grupo será espaço de atuação dos evangélicos com fome e sede de justiça”, conforme explicou o presidente do partido, deputado federal Márcio Jerry.
A Secretaria de Segurança Pública do Maranhão (SSP) afastou na sexta-feira (13) o Coronel da Polícia Militar Marco Antônio Terra. Ele é investigado após uma denúncia de que teria liberado o próprio filho de uma blitz na Avenida dos Holandeses, em São Luís.
A investigação busca esclarecer também o fato de que o rapaz saiu da barreira policial conduzindo uma viatura da própria PM, que estava sem o adesivo da corporação.
De acordo com o secretário de Segurança Pública, Jefferson Portela, e com o comandante geral da PM, coronel Ismael Fonseca, o caso está sendo apurado. Por meio de nota oficial, a Polícia Militar informou “que determinou a imediata abertura de procedimento administrativo para apuração dos fatos e adoção das providências legais e administrativas cabíveis”.
O fato só chegou ao conhecimento do Comando Geral da Polícia Militar e da Secretaria de Segurança Pública nesta semana, mas aconteceu no último dia 4 de dezembro quando ocorria uma blitz de rotina na Avenida dos Holandeses, no bairro Ponta d’Areia, na capital.
Na ocasião, o filho do coronel, de 23 anos, que não teve a sua identidade revelada, estava dirigindo uma caminhonete quando foi abordado pelos policiais. Ao apresentar os documentos, os policiais descobriram que o filho do coronel não possuía Carteira Nacional de Habilitação (CNH).
Além disso, os policiais que faziam a blitz descobriram que o veículo que ele dirigia pertencia a própria Polícia Militar, pois o adesivo que deveria estar colado no carro havia sido arrancado.
Os policiais militares já estavam prontos para encaminhar o filho do coronel para a delegacia para que ele se explicasse quando ele ligou para o pai e foi liberado. O jovem ainda saiu dirigindo o carro da PM que estava descaracterizado.
Agressão no quartel da PM
Em 2017, o coronel Terra também foi alvo de investigação ao agredir uma soldado da Polícia Militar dentro do Comando Geral da corporação em São Luís.
Segundo o boletim de ocorrência registrado pela delegacia, as agressões teriam sido cometidas pelo coronel Marco Antônio Terra, que de acordo com a delegada titular Wanda Moura, estaria em um relacionamento amoroso com a vítima.
Até hoje o inquérito deste caso não foi divulgado e não há informação de qualquer punição contra o coronel Terra.
